IMPACT CWRF MAKING IN RELIEF EFFORTS

CWRF has a long history of creating a direct and significant impact on individuals and families in need, ensuring that aid reaches those who need it most. Since 2019, the California Wildfire Relief Fund has distributed over $30 million to communities devastated by disasters. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, CWRF further demonstrated its commitment by establishing the COVID Relief Fund, which provided vital support to vulnerable groups such as seniors, single parents, immigrants, and others. This fund helped cover essential expenses like rent and utilities and facilitated vaccine access for those facing barriers to care, including unhoused individuals and those with language access challenges.

As of February 5th, the wildfires in LA County have tragically taken at least 29 lives, devastated thousands of homes and businesses, and forced more than 180,000 residents to flee. Despite the immense loss, our community remains resilient and united in the face of adversity.
